Camera Benchmarking

Has anyone ever thought of doing camera read/write benchmarking? With the new ultra fast cards out there, and with companies not disclosing what the max read/write is, it'd help out a lot of people if they had a resource that would tell them the best possible card for their camera, and what is too much.

I just got the SD500 and I'm really interested to know just how fast it's capable of going, but in order to do that, I'd have to have a couple different card speeds handy, which I don't have.

If you buy a card from www.newegg.com you'll find the write speed. Very helpful. :o
