I am looking to buy a wide angle converter to use with fz-20. I’ve found lots of info and comments on wcon-08b, wcon-07, dcr-6600pro and dcr-720 but could hardly find any info and comments on raynox hd-7000pro and dcr-5000 (apart from one Japanese site which has info on hd-7000pro).

Have anyone used these two wide angle converters? I would be interested to know how do they perform (vignetting, zoom range, image quality, sharpness, distortion, etc.)? Are they on par with wcon-08b?

Thanks.

I mentioned to you or somebody else taht these lenses are not well suited for the FZ, unless you are a distortion lover.

Raynox specifies the HD7000 only for video work.

I have no experience with the lens but a while ago Raynox Service recommended to me that the HD7000 was the best they had to work with the FZ10.
And I really think that DCR730 photo looks pretty good.

I am off to take a picture of a brick wall with my FZ20 and WCON-08B

Thanks for the pictures.

Im using a dcr730 raynox wideangle converter and i think i works well.

i can even squeeze in a filter between the adapter-ring and the lens and still get great shots without any dark corners caused by the filter.
