350D with 16-35mm EF L

Hi All:

Complete newbie to the digital photography.. Just got myself a Canon EOS 350D - as a birthday gift, i also recieved a Canon 16-35mm EF L USM lense. So went crazy this weekend taking pictures with this supposedly amazing lens.

Now got the pictures uploaded to Mac, and cant seem to see the sharpness and "wow" factor.. Am I doing something wrong?

PS.. how do I post a picture sample here for the group to evaluate?

The picture is far too small for en evaluation. Posting here will leave us with an equally small thumbnail. Is there any way you could post up something larger?

The resolution is great, no CA, very sharp details. I think it's a great picture...

Here is a little photoshop work, auto levels, contrast +3, Cyan +5.

That looks pretty good. Tip for displaying images on PBase: resize them to 800x533 resolution before adding to your gallery. When you upload the full size image where its set as Original the Large option looses some detail on the edges due probably to .jpg compression.
