I have been shooting in RAW for about six months now and generally process in Nikon Capture as I find that it gives me a better exposure than Photoshop Elements 3.0. I sometimes finish up in Elements as I can do things with it that is questionalbe with Capture.
I posted somes shots of Opreys two or three weeks ago and it was pointed out to me, very helpfully, that my highlights were tending to be blown. I have been taking particular care with this probelem lately and have not yet mastered the skill.
A shot of a Bald Eagle I took this week looked somewhat blown when processed with Capture so I tried with Elements and came up with the same results. Then, to my surprise, when I was looking through the total shoot, using Elements Organizer, there was my Bald Eagle with the highlights looking pretty good.
Now I cannot the same result by using all of the adjusting tools in either Capture or Elements so I am quite puzzled.
I am using a D70 and have downloaded the updated firmware. Elements recently gave me a new download and now it doesn't seem to make any difference whether or not I use Capture or Elements, I get the same results.
