long exposure and wear on sensor

I just got a variable ND filter from Singh-Ray filters and I've been experimenting with long exposures of a half minute or more. I understand that there is increased digital noise with longer exposures (and also heat), but I was wondering if long exposures are hard on the image sensor or wear them out faster?
