I had my A70 for a year, and then one day it started to have noisy horizontal lines appearing on the pics. This lines are seen on both the LCD and in the uploaded pics. Really ugly lines.
The solution, albeit temporary, was to knock the camera with my palm. And the lines would go away. Over a few weeks, the problem recurred with increasing frequency.
One day, the problem became worse, and I started seeing purple and black blurry lines totally filling up my LCD and uploaded pictures. Again, knocking with my palm helps a little bit. But eventually, the problem occur more and more such that the camera becomes a total pain to use.
I went to Canon in Singapore (after my warranty period) and they were nice enough to repair it for me. However, after another 5 month of use, the same problem came back and the camera is practically useless now.
The EXACT SAME THING is happening to my other Canon camera, an A60. So, either I am extremely unlucky (I bought the 2 cameras at different times and different places), or this problem is inherent in Canon cameras, at least in their A series.
I was just wondering if anyone has experience this same problem. Seeing that that Jeff left rave reviews about the A series, I'm sure there are many of you out there who has it. Please leave a reply here if you are experiencing the same problems. This problem is NOT the E18 problem.
Also, if anyone knows how to fix this issue, email me at damnshiok@gmail.com and I will be eternally grateful!
