The Canon Power Adapter CA-PS700 (http://www.canoncompanystore.com/epages/annex.storefront?ProductDetail=7875A002AA) kit (specified for the PowerShot S1, S2, and Digital Rebel XT) is also part of the AC Adapter Kit ACK-700 (http://www.canoncompanystore.com/epages/annex.storefront?ProductDetail=7305A001AA). Both kits contain the CA-PS700 (the adapter unit with a wire that plugs into the camera) and a power cord; the ACK-700 also includes the DC Coupler DR-700, which is the battery-compartment insert used with the PowerShot S30-S70 series.
The CA-PS700 is also used with the Elura 40mc and 50.
I just got an S2. I already had an S30 with the ACK-700, so I didn't need to buy a separate CA-PS700 to use the S2 on AC power.
FYI, Amazon charges a couple of bucks less for the ACK-700! (As of this writing, at least.)
