Hi everybody,

I'm looking for a new lens for D70s camera

this is an examples of lens I found:
Nikon - 18-70MM F3.5-4.5G AF-S DX Lens
Nikon - 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S VR IF-ED Nikkor Lens
Nikon - 28-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED AF Nikkor Zoom Lens
Nikon - 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 D

do you know the minings of the G,S,D,IF-ED etc...
which type is important fot dSLR?

Hey,

Try this site here (http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/nikortek.htm) . It has all of the lens terminology Nikon has ever used....I hope it helps.

You might also want to consider some of the lenses from Sigma and Tamron as they are making some very good lenses as well. In some cases better than OEM's, and for a much lower cost.

Examples:

Sigma 18-50 f2.8
Sigma 18-200 DC
Sigma 18-125 DC
Tamron 28-70 f2.8

Also you should consider a 50mm f1.8 Nikkor in your arsenal as well. It's a low-cost lens that will come in very handy.
