Does anyone know if there will be a Canon S2 IS coming out soon?

I had the G3, but sold it to get the Canon S1 IS. While the zoom lens and IS is great; the picture quality falls lower than what I expected, focusing hesitates at times, and I still cannot understand why Canon left off the AF illuminator.

I am debating on holding off on the successor to the S1 or just going with the upcoming Panasonics FZ-15 or FZ-20 which is what the Canon S1 IS should had been to begin with.

I would be very surprised to see one this year.
