A520 or A95?

Hello all. I am really torn on whether to purchase the A520 or the A95. They're basically the same camera except for the 5 MP and the flip viewfinder on the A95 (the A520 is 4MP and a non-moving viewfinder). The A95 is also a bit more expensive than the A520. The flip viewfinder does not interest me that much, but I am curious whether it is worth the extra money for one extra MP. Is it? Is there a huge difference between 4 and 5 MP? If so, can someone please explain. Thank you for your help. :o

Here are a few more differences:

4mp on a 1/2.5" sensor vs 5mp on a 1/1.8" sensor (you already mentionned it)
Static LCD vs rotating LCD (you already mentionned it)

35mm at wide angle vs 38mm at wide angle (35mm is better)
140mm at telephoto vs 114mm at telephoto (140mm is better)
Lens starts at F2.6 vs F2.8 (F2.6 is slightly better)
Uses SD cards vs uses CF cards (its a matter of preference)
Uses 2 AA batteries vs uses 4 AA batteries (the latter is heavier and bigger cuz of it)
Weight and size:
180g(without batteries) vs 335g(with batteries)
3.6 x 2.5 x 1.5 in(13.5 cubic inches) vs 4.0 x 2.5 x 1.4in(14 cubic inches)

Now for speed:
A520 vs A95
Shot to shot
with flash on 7.0s vs 4.5s (considerably better for A95)
flash off 2.1s vs 2.4s (a bit better for A520)
Continuous mode in best resolution and least compression
1.66fps for 4 frames vs 2.0fps for 8 frames(considerably better for A95)

Having said all that, on many aspects I find the A95 to be better than the A520. The point where the A520 could really win is the better zoom range and the smaller size. For what it matters, I would personally choose the A510 over the A520...

My friend went the same route, chose the 510 instead. Comparing the specs and reviews, I would have to concur with that assessment, just seems to produce the best results. Oh, he upgraded from an A75...which was a very good camera for what it cost...

Over both the A95 and the 520 actually. I've never personally tested either camera, but from the reviews, it seems the 510 has the better rating.

All that said, before making your choice, pop in to Best Buy or some store and test them out. Always try before you buy...
