Does this camera have a "museum" setting that disables the flash and works in low light conditions? I was just wondering how well it performs in low light conditions.. thanks

No it doesn't have a "museum" setting, but its very easy to turn off the flash, to boost the ISO or to use a tripod to take pictures... You should always try to use the lowest ISO that enables you to get a stable picture, which is why I'd suggest a tripod.

If you've gotta take pictures in low light conditions .. suggestion:
Turn the mode dial to Av mode, and pick the largest aperture you can get (smallest F-number; will be anywhere from F2.6 to F5.5, depending on how much you've zoomed).
Zoom out all the way so you can get F2.6 (more light for the camera).
Set the exposure compensation (top setting in the Func menu) to around -1. (You can try going even further down, just stop where you think the pictures are still bright enough).
Set the ISO to 200 (you could also go to 400, but that's a bit too much noise for my taste .. I find 200 to be pretty usable, though).
And of course, turn off the flash (press up on the 4-way controller .. you should see the lightning icon along the top of the LCD get crossed out.)
Hopefully that'll get you fast enough shutter speeds for handheld shots in a museum.
