I'm looking to buy this ultracompact to replace my old Olympus Stylus. So far the best price I can get is from a "reliable" source is Amazon: $350. I don't want to spend more than $300.. and I'm sure there's one out there waiting for me to buy through the magic of the Internet.

Unfortunately, the ones I find for around $275-$299 are from shady retailers than earned a rating of under 1 (out of 10) from resellerratings.com.

Could the experienced users here kindly point me in the right direction. Tnx.

Free shipping from beachcamera makes this one of the best deals on the net:

Have fun!

this is what i did:

went to dell home and ordered the canon sd400.
then added the $56ish 2year extended warrenty. you can drop this, but will need to order something else that comes to a total of $50 on top of the $400 camera.

then i added a coupon for $70 for orders over $450.

dell adds on it's own 15% off and free shipping. you pay tax.

total for me for the sd400 and 2year warrenty was $330. you may want to add on other stuff, like extra battery (ebay for $2 or radioshack for $40, hmm), carrying case instead of pocket, and extra sd card.
