PowerShot A75 (Memory card error)

I recently purchased an A75, however I am getting this message on my LCD that say "Memory Card Error". My camera locks up and I can't take any pictures. I bought another card 256MB SanDisk and am getting the same error message. I tried reformatting, but no luck. Not happy with the camera- not sure who to call???

Where did you purchase the A75? I would try to return it to the place of purchase...

If that fails, I would call Canon..

I've had a memory card error before, but it was my memory card.. not the camera. Sandisk replaced it within a week.. I've heard bad things about Canon's response time.. so I would definately try the place of purchase.
If recently is less than 30 days, they'll probably swap it out for you.
