The Worst!

I just used what I believe is the worst software/service that I have ever used in my entire life! I am not exagerating! I just went through the most excrutiating experience for the past several hours and I am fuming mad! I just installed something called Qurio. And I just de-installed it. Everything...and I mean everything about this software and the corresponding service is horrible. It's a a photo print service, but the software barely qualifies as an alpha release. The install went wrong. The print ordering went wrong. The de-install went wrong. It would take a hour to write it all down (which would only make me madder). Their solution for some of the problems I was having? Open up ports on my firewall, diasble cookie and pop-up blocking and disable my anti virus software! Yeah, right! The thing made a mess of my registry as well, which I just spent an hour cleaning up. Has anyone else become a victim of this junk? :mad:

No but thanks for the warning. I try and be real careful installing stuff as It can be very frustrating removing such crap.

It's basically what I refer to as "virusware". They want an inordinate amount of access to your system and network...

The morons actually said that opening outbound ports is not a security risk! I guess they were asleep during the class on "zombies" and the liability associated with allowing your machine to be able to participate in DoS attacks and as a spam server! I hate when people try to snow me...especially when I continually demonstrated that I was more knowledgeable than their entire development staff...ARRRGGGG! Now I'm mad again! :D
