I was worried about the LCD problems that people have said to experience with their SDxxx series cameras. THough I do think that something needs to happen to have the LCD break, it seems like it can happen really easily.
I was in Ritz camera store talking to the employees and relized that Ritz offers the best warranty that I've ever heard / read about.
They will cover, for around 60 / year (and you buy one year, then you can renew it, not like you have to pay for two or three years up front) ANY damage done to the camera except fire damage.
Drop your camera? they'll fix it. Crack the LCD? Get that weird E18 error? Drop it in water? Get sand in it? etc.
I just thought that i'd pass the info along. I bought my SD300 (and am now worry free) for about 350 + the warranty, which seems about average price for the camera. I was originally going to get the camera off of amazon because it was cheepier but I think that the extra money is worth it in this case, especially because of all the problems people have been having with the LCDs in this series and the E18 error in general.
Thought i'd pass along the info :-)
