Lens question

Ok, so I'm trying to decide between a Rebel XT and a D70. My question is this: My wife has some older leses for her Minolta 35mm SLR. One is a Sakar 80-200mm macro, the other is a 50mm. Will either of these lenses fit the two DSLRs I have in mind? I'm guessing not, but I thought I would ask, seeing as how I am VERY new to digital, not to mention standard, photography. TIA!

Nope. Different mounts. Film and Digital. Bummer. The good news is that there are some decent wide angle zooms out there for less than $300 and the 50mm f1.8 is around $100 (for either mount).
