Ok, so the thread title maybe a bit strong - but check out this text from the new Nikon D70s review here on dcresource:
"The Nikon D70s is an evolutionary -- not revolutionary -- update to the popular D70 digital SLR. Where Canon took their Digital Rebel and changed it dramatically when it became the Rebel XT, Nikon took smaller steps with the D70s. The changes from the original D70 include:
Faster autofocus system
Larger LCD display (2.0" vs 1.8")
Built-in flash has a wider working range
New wired remote control port
Improved battery life (due mostly to the new EN-EL3a battery)
Refined menu system
D70 owners, don't fret -- several of these new features (including the faster AF system) are available via a firmware update."
So, Nikon have seen fit not to leave the many loyal D70 customers out in the cold. I think it would be nice if Canon were to do the same for us 300d/Rebel owners by giving us a few more features via a small, cheap firmware update.
Thoughts?
