I attempted to copy 100 photos to the camera. I just clicked, copied, and pasted. The window showed 100 photos. However, when I look at the photos on the camera (disconnected from the comptuer), I have 0 photos. At one time, I had 19 photos - but not 100. So I reformatted the camera, copied again, and now says zero. I only have the one default folder (\DCIM\101MSDCF) that is created when a photo is taken.

Any ideas? My intent is to do a slideshow on the TV (2 weeks in Southern Utah - awesome!).

I have tried that before myself (though not on your model). There are two things to check about the pictures.
The first is to check what kind of pictures they are. From what I know, the Sony cameras can only handle JPG or JPEG pictures. The pictures taken with the camera are recorded in that format. You need to make sure the pictures you are uploading to the camera are in that format.
The second is to check what you are naming the pictures. Pictures taken with Sony cameras are named with a number between 00001 and 99999, such as DSC00000 or DSC00123. After DSC99999, the camera begins naming them from the starting name, DSC00001. Your picture's names must have DSC and a five digit number.
I hope this helps.

Sony told me I cannot rename the pictures anything other than their original name nor can I edit the picture to include rotating it.

Either of these infractions will cause the camera to not recognize them when they are copied back to the camera.

Now I know!

Thanks for writing.
