View Full Version : any noticeable difference between "Fine" and "Superfine" modes?

Just wondering. I personally cant tell. Obviously SF uses more file size and allows for less pics. Which do you use? Is the SF mode worth it?

Normally you won't see the difference, but it may appear if you edit your image a lot or if you print large or zoom a lot. Now, I doubt you'll notice the difference if you print large and have never edited the image tho.
But keep this in mind, its your digital negative, so you might as well have more info than not enough.

the bad thing is with my 256 card i can only take 153 pics with SF mode, but 271 in normal. Quite a big difference.

Unless you know you're gonna used your pkotos only for internet/computer viewing, i suggest you (as i did in your resolution thread) to keep on the higher res.
Better find anotha 256Mb card which price is cheaper day after day when you really think you'd need it.
