<<I heard a rumor Fuji may be coming out with a new superzoom with the censor of the F10>>
It certainly seems like Fuji has thrown the F-10 out there like a guinea pig. Appears as if like they really cut corners on the F-10, just to see the potential market without having to spend on many bells and whistles. The pictures look phenomenal. I am so tempted to buy the F-10, but my gut tells me that this is just a pawn. I hope the rumor you speak of does become reality.

So do I. I am a big fan of the way Fuji photos look. I think they reproduce the outdoor world better than other camera makers for some reason ( maybe just personal preference). Their recent f10 is groundbreaking, and their DSLR sensors are blowing away the competition.
I would love to see an updated S5100 with 6 MP and the Fuji f10 sensor, 12x, IS in video mode, RAW, etc.
As it is, I may go with the s5100 anyway.

Can we really expect an update to the 5100 soon? It came out late last year, iirc. If this "rumored" camera of yours does come out soon, I'll be the first to buy it. But I need a new ultrazoom before I head off to Argentina in a month and a half.

im in the same boat! I need to have my new camera by the middle of July for a trip to Montana (Yellowstone National Park and Glacier National Park).
Fuji has a knack of announcing their products when they ship, so who knows.
