Olympus c-310, ixus 30 or 40?

Hello,

At the moment i have the "Olympus c-310."

This summer me and some of my basketball mates, are going on a trip through the country to play some of our prefered sport. On this trip I would love to take some movie clips of us playing, mostly movies but also a few pictures.

The thing now is, would the movies be better if I buy the Ixus 30 or even maybe the Ixus 40? is there a mile of difference between the Canon cameras and the Olympus that I have?

The video mode on digital cameras is getting better but they're still primarily cameras. If you want to take "mostly video", then get a video camera specifically for that purpose, and take your Olympus for stills.

Firtstly thank you for you quick answer. The thing is that I do not want to buy a camera for this trip exclusively, i cannot really see when i would use a camcoder otherwise. This is why, i would like to get a digital camera with a nice movie mode...
