It's come down to Canon G6 vs. Oly C-7070wz

I've recently broken my ancient finepix 2400zoom, which i had for a good 5 years, so this is one hell of an upgrade for me.

This camera will be mostly for personal use, and while i mainly putz around, i am looking for something i can really grow into. Secondly, it will be a family camera, so ease of use in the most basic mode is a factor.

Next up is pricing. The Olympus is a full $130 cheaper then the Canon. I'm on a bit of a budget, so a 25% increase in price is a big deal.

Basically, i'd like you fine folks to justify the 130 dollar increase for the G6. Failing that, I'll go with the C7070 :D

Here is something to consider -- if you do a lot of land/cityscapes, or a lot of indoor shooting, then you will find the wide-angle lens of the Oly to be of great benefit. Otherwise, it's a toss-up.....

So you really cannot give me any reason as to why the G6 would be better then the C7070?
