These cameras seem to get very good reviews and take very good images. Nikon seems to be very user friendly and both go for around 250-275 online. I like the Nikons built in redeye and flash adjustment and 2in lcd. Canon has the swivel lcd and seems to be a little more manual.Any opinions or other options? Thank's.

THE main difference between those 2 are manual settings for the a95 (speed & aperture)
On the Nikon you've got a few setings like iso, expo, wb, mesure type, manual focus (within 99 areas), that you could change when in shooting mode.
Anyway even if I'd have loved reel manuals, i've to say that i'm fully satisfied with my 'carry it everywhere' Nikon.

They are completely different cameras.
The A95 has manual controls, is not super compact and it uses 4 AA batteries and the CP5900 is very compact, has no manual controls and uses a 'special' battery + it has a larger lcd and a much better video mode.
