Has anyone heard whether Minolta plans on "fixing" the issues with the A2 (focus, picture quality, etc.)? I went to a camera store today, and the A2 is absolutely incredible in person. I'd buy it in a second if not for the blasting it takes on these sites. I wish they'd re-release the A1 as an A1.1, or something like that.

That's just good business practice.
But a lot of cameras that may get "blasted" on these sites can still be great performers. For example, the A2 has a GREAT EVF resolution, probably the BEST there is. I was just thinking that the other day, shooting a photo with my FZ10 and reviewing it, how nice it would be to see how it really looks. And there's the A2 with 922K pixels in its EVF, vs. 114K pixels in my FZ10's EVF. If you want to get the flavor of the A2's ownership, I'd suggest going over to http://www.dpreview.com, and sign in to their Konica-Minolta forum, and just see for yourself what pictures people are posting, what complaints they have, what they like, don't like, etc. I'm not suggesting that you divest yourself of reading this site, it's great, but the dpreview sites tend to pull in much bigger numbers of participants, and high numbers specific to each camera type, which will give you larger exposure to some real feedback from satisfied/dissatisfied users.

Hello, I heard from a dealer yesterday that the A-2 series maybe replaced by a digital SLR (A200). That maybe why the quailty control, especially when it comes to focusing, has been so lacks on this model. I should be getting mine replaced this week. Hope to get a good one this time. Greg
