So the A80 is better than the A75 because of a larger CCD is what i have been told. How does this determin better picture quality? I have no clue how it works. Is it that big of a difference in picture quality or does it really matter? :(

A70 which use the 1/2.7" type CCD (5.3 x 4.0 mm) the A80 has a 1/1.8" type CCD (7.2 x 5.3 mm) i have no clue what this means!

In a 3 or 4 Megapixel image it is not a big deal. when you get into the 8MP imagers it is. Since most all-in-one "pocket" size cameras have limited ISO, noise is not quite as critical as in a 5 or 8 MegaPixle high end camera.

Just buy the camera you like and don't fret over the imager size (unless it's 8MP).
