You asked about this a few days ago in another thread (which I couldn't find...).
Anyway, last night I took a bunch of portrait shots - people, dogs - in various flash/light settings. With redeye off - of course *lots* of redeye. With redeye on - no discernable redeye. So the redeye function seems to work very well.
The more I use this camera the more I like it.
