Hi There,

I'm in a process of selecting a digital camera.
I need some help from you since I'm Lame regarding Cameras and Photography.

Right Now I'm wondering which one will be the best for me. I'm choosing between CANON S2 and CASIO EX-P505... I like both and they have video feature (which is very important for me).

Here is the problem that I found:
I downloaded videos for both cameras and even CANON have better options, it's video was somehow wrong... It stops(delayed) 2 times for about half a second (as it can't find the keyframe).

I have downloaded the CASIO sample too and there was no such problem.

So, my qestion is:
Is this Video problem occures on PC or on Both PC and MAC ?
.. and...
Can it be a problem of the file upload but not of the Video that CANON S2 makes?

You will help me a lot if you can give me more information on that.

Here are the links to the Videos:

CANON S2 - Sample Video (http://web.canon.jp/Imaging/pss2is/spl/data/MVI_0716.AVI)

Thanks,
Deso.

Are you sure, the bit were it stops, isn't Canon showing the
'take a 5mp picture while a movie is running' feature?

The video is wonderful. I mix it in with DV, and people don't notice the difference. I never get the hesitation that you describe. I would be disapointed if the newer camera took a step back in video.

It's a standard AVI file.. should have nothing to do with PC or Mac

I can't be sure that this bit stop is when the camera uses "Take a Picture" feature.

Both movies are official and are posted by each of the company.

About the DV mixing... I'm sure you can't notice the difference when mixed with DV even this movie has smaller resolution. But the one that is importat for me is: Did you notice this "bit stop" in the Canon movie ? Since I have noticed it.. and Samegapiz noticed it also, so I guess it is really an issue.
