looking for a night time camera

i'm mostly looking to take pictures at night,sidewalks,streets,buildings,and all that.i've never owned a digital camera before,nor have i really done much with any type of camera so i'm not really sure what i'm looking for.as for as
price,under 300,around 250 is what i'm kind of looking at.thanks.

Well, I assume you're talking US dollars? Canadian/Australian dollars won't allow you to buy much.

The Canon A70/75/80/85/90/95 will do it but the price I'm not sure about. You'll have to check locally.

is there much difference between the a85 and the a95?
