Sigma EF-430 ST flash compatible with Rebel XT?

I bought the Sigma EF-430 ST flash several years ago for my Canon EOS film camera. Now I ordered a new camera, the Canon EOS Rebel XT. Is my flash compatible with this new body or do I have to buy a new flash?

Just got feedback from Sigma - not compatible. But they offer a trade-in in the US. Since I want to keep my film SLR, I will keep the flash.
