Hey...

I have owned the Kodak EasyShare DX7440 digital camera for a while, but I was thinking, how about we put together a wishlist for the model that will replace this camera. I know it's a new model, and an upgrade is probably not even in the works, but since there's some room for improvement, I thought it would be nice.

My hopes:
* A bigger sensor (1/1.8 maybe?)
* More megapixels (I think 5 megapixels will be good)
* Bigger optical zoom (considering the high range of 10x optical zoom monsters that's in the market now, 5x or 6x optical zoom would not be too much to ask)
* An ability to use the camera's zoom while shooting a video
* More image sizes to choose from (I think they should have the standard image sizes as a start: 640x480, 1024x768, 1280x960, 1600x1200 and then 2048x1536, 2304x1536 - 3:2 aspect ratio and 2304x1728. I got a little carried away maybe, but I think it'll be good)
* SuperFine compression - for the best image quality available!

That's it, I guess... :) Post your thoughts away!

*If a 5x/6x zoom makes it's physically bigger then no, I like it for it's size as well.
* 5MP would be ok but aslong as image quality doesn't increase.
* Some additional manual features (white balance, focus, etc)

You don't want image quality to increase?
I would also appreciate some more manual features. And I'd like the camera to be designed the same way the DX7440 is. I love the way it is built.
