I've seen a lot of threads about where should someone buy from online and also see a lot of posts by people complaining of bad experiences online.

Personally, I always buy from B&H photo and video. I've never had one problem with them.

Before you buy from someone, here are a few websites to check out the company that you are thinking about buying from. You can find their reputations.

I hope you find them useful.

MrPeabody-

Yes, B & H is generally quite good on the ordering side of things. However, it becomes a completely different ball of wax when you have to return an item to them. Over three months ago I returned a defective lens to them and I followed their return procedure to the letter. Still no credit on the $300+ lens!

They claim that yes, they did receive my UPS shipment, but it did not contain the specific lens, rather it contained a different lens, which as you have probably guessed, was a lens of much less value.

They claim to be working on the issue but every other week I have to remind them that the issue still has not been resolved and that I am still looking for my credit.

Personally, I have found www.adorama.com, which was recommended to me by Jamison, to be much better than B & H.
