Ritz is selling it for $500 after an instant $50 rebate. It's an outstanding printer no doubt, but only buy it if you know you'll be making prints that large. Otherwise, you'd be far better off and happier with a Canon Pixma iP 8500 or an Epson Stylus R800 (Canon is much better all around in performance, but Epson does better in print quality).

I will no doubt be making larger prints ala 11x14 & 13x19. My curiousity has also been aroused by the long lasting inks. I like the 1.5 picoliter droplets it claims to use. Gimme Gimme.

Thats perty darn cheap, where might "Here" be?? lol I live in the portland Metro Area in Oregon, but a camera shop on the coast about an hour 1/2 from here had it "regular price" at $399. This is also a new in box printer, not a demo or refurbishe done. The guy there said they would also UPS.

I have an Epson 2200, also a PDG (Pretty Darn Good) photo printer, though "only" 7 colors. But I'd venture to say that the cost of keeping myself in ink cartridges is approaching what I paid for the printer itself, and I am NOT a high volume printer user. I've also found with Epson printers that it's risky to use "bargain" ink cartridges. Just thought I'd throw that in as a little reality to your Printer Lust.
