Finecam S4 black screen

Don't really know how to google for this, so i thought i'd post here.

My screen is black except for the menus and pictures i take are also completely black. I'm guessing its a CCD problem or something with the lens... But i have no idea. Any suggestions? I tried resetting, taking out the battery for 48 hours, blah blah blah...

Sadly it seems to be the CCD (the same happened to my Finecam S5). Try adjusting the white balance, perhaps you can make it react. At one point my camera went black too and after doing so it reacted. Not well enough, sadly.

The worst part is that CCD replacemepts are expensive (at least here in Argentina) so perhaps you'd consider buying another camera...

Hi there, I'm having a similar problem with my camera kyocera finecam s5. Did you find a resolution? Any help much apreciated. Its my boyfriends camera and he's gutted as it has sentimental value too.

My kyocera finecam 5s also turn black on screen after 2 years. Agent had to airparcel to Hongkong for repair. Repair costs 150 Singdollars. Crazy because a new camera now selling at 400 Singdollars. 3 months later, the charger stop charging. Lousy camera. No wonder selling for 70 % discount now.
