Sony or Nikon?

I posted earlier, what camera should I buy since I know 0 about digital photography. I decided to go with 7MP, hopefully I still can make a pretty good print and can make good close shots. I only dont know which one to choose of these 2 (3 if you guys think Nikon is better).
I don't know the benefiacials of them, if you have some advise for me, please post it here.

I personally think that you ought to re-set your digital camera sights. Please take a good look at the Fuji F-10. It is a great digital camera, that has a lot of great features.

Neither make is "better" than the other. Both companies make excellent cameras that compare quite favorably in quality when like price ranges are compared. Rather than worry about which brand to choose, concentrate on what features you need, and buy the camera that has those features. If you don't know what features you need, then spend some time reading the digital photography - and photgraphy in general - online tutorials. I think you have a lot of homework to do before you are ready to think about what camera to purchase....

Thanks for all of you.
I have checked out the Fuji you meantioned and I need more than 6.3MP, and bigger resolution.
I've picked the Cybershot, Nikon and than Canon SD500 because these have the features I need and I like (I believe the differences of the Focus and Zoom won't make big difference).
Since I've never used them, somebody might have some experience and tell me and to other people on this forum what are the advantages and disadvantages of these cameras, so that's all I asked.
