Hi I would like to buy a digital camera for my girlfriend and need your help. I would like a nice quality camera that will be small and stylish for her. It doesnt need to be to complicated and just needs to be able to take pictures and do it good. I have a few models in mind and was really looking into the A400 with the blue but after I found out it took bad indoor photos I had to say no. Thank you for the help and please help me choose what to buy.

Check out the Nikon Coolpix 3200. It's small, 3.2 Mpix with a 3x optical zoom. It has a focus assist lamp for low lighting conditions, and it should easily fit in her purse. My daughter has one and takes it everywhere. It only uses 2 AA batteries, so you can get some rechargeable NiMH batteries and be ready to take pictures at any time. It is available for under $200.

And if within your budget or so, you should have a look too at the coolpix 4200 (4Mpx ccd 1/1.8") the best in this coolpix serie, when speaking about hpotos quality. ;)

Haha, when I first looked at the thread I thought it was entitled "camera OR girlfriend?" I was starting to wonder about your priorities... :)

My Canon A520 fits nicely in my purse and is a good all-purpose camera. She might like the A510. It's got 4x optical zoom which is nice to get a little closer to things sometimes than the standard 3x zoom. It sometimes takes a couple of seconds to focus and recharge the flash in low light, but the redeye isn't too bad and it takes really nice pictures.
