hi,
I'm searching for a camera with these specs::
-small
-no redeye > build-inn flash no external flash, not done with software
-manual control > especially the focus if possible changing manually on the lens
-automatic control
-good for macro's
-good for nightshots
-excellent video mode (not necessary but would be nice)
(-long battery life)
my brother wants to buy the P200 of sony but wants to know if the P200 hasn't got any trouble with redeye like the P150.
thank you!

thank you!Any/every small camera will give you redeye trouble. Plus, I don't know of any pocket cam with manual focus (anybody else?). I would say, based on your requirements, that your brother has identified the camera (Sony P200) that seems to most closely match them.

according to this site the P150 among others doesn't give red-eye.
and let me replace small by ... "as small as possible".

I have the p150 and I don't ever get redeye. I also have the redeye reduction on too btw.

After searching and searching again I think the P200 or P150 of sony is the best option for me. It's got some manual control and the only thing I'm really going to miss is the time-laps mode. I've seen on dpreview that the only difference between the p150 and the p200 is the following::
LCD 1.8 " 2.0 "
LCD Pixels 134,000 130,000
...
Dimensions 108 x 52 x 27 mm (4.3 x 2 x 1.1 in) 104 x 52 x 28 mm (4.1 x 2 x 1.1 in)
...is this the only difference?
Does anybody have any experience with red-eye on the P200 (because the P150 doesn't have any).
I found on pixmania.be the P200 for 80€ (100$) less then the P150 but I really really don't like red-eye.

I think Nikon makes a couple of small Coolpixes with in-camera redeye reduction.
