i formated a sandisk sd on a friends computer and the camera "a vivitar vivicam 3345" cannot read the card Iam unsure as to wether it could read the card before. did I delete something?,and if so can it be replaced?

Only format the cards in the camera, never on the computer. Can you re-format the card in the camera?
