On February 2004 I bought a used Kyocera Finecam S5 on Japan and it hasn't given me any problems since then but...
Some days ago it started: I can see on the display that something is VERY wrong because the image is all mixed up. It's like capturing a TV frame between images, but a thousand times worse. And then, when I take the picture voilá, that's what I get: something all mixed up in unrecognizeable shapes. It's as if my camera was on heavy drugs.
On the other hand it shows previously taken pictures and other functions perfectly. It's as if it couldn't "see well".
The first time it happened I thought it had to do with a low battery, so charged it and as it worked smoothly I stopped worrying. Today I wanted to use it and couldn't get it to work properly even after another charge, reset, etc. As far as I know it hasn't been physically damaged either.
I'm seriously thinking about hitting it with a hammer to see if it helps! :(
So it doesn't seem to be anything with the lenses, the display, or the battery but I can't find any data anywhere. I know these aren't the only parts of a camera but I really wished I knew more...
I just can't afford to buy a new one.
Any help will be truly appreciated.
