FZ20 Default Settings

I am a new user of a FZ20. I am interested in hearing of optimizations of the factory settings for the camera. In particular the PICT.ADJ, COL.EFFECT, and STABILIZER. Any other recommendations on Auto Focus, etc is appreciated. Thank you for your inputs.

For picture adj I generally leave in std mode though others recommend setting everything to the lowest settings and post process everything afterward - I am lazy and have found the std settings a good compromise for most shooting situations which achieve good results.

I don't mess with the color effects unless I am shooting special purpose shots.

The stabilizer is usually left in mode 2 unless I am shooting a lot at full zoom and/or using and TC where the mode 1 Helps to keep the images stable while shooting the shot.

For focus mode I usually have it set for spot focus when shooting with the zoom otherwise I use the center weighted mode for general wide angle shooting. I also typically use the spot metering mode in most cases but your mileage may vary.
