I am looking for a 3MP-5MP camera that I don't have to worry about in the rain, on vacations with water rides, etc. I don't want to sacrifice image quality too much to get the weather resistant features. I also don't want to use a waterproof housing- too big. I am mostly a point and shooter.

The cameras I have found are the Olympus Stylus 300, 400 and 410, and the Pentax 33WR and 43WR. Are there others cameras to consider? Any opinions on which camera to buy?

Thanks

You have located the water resistat digital camera on the market today. Personally, I prefer the two Pentax digital cameras over the Olympus digital cameras because they have an adjustable ISO setting that will give you much greater flexibility in taking your digital photos. The Pentax 33WR is 3.1mp and the Pentax 43WR is a 4mp digital camera. THe Pentax camera also have another desirable feature. For Macro or close-up shots than can focus on a subject as close as 1/2 inch, making them ideal for taking digital photos of small objects such as jewelry or small mechanical parts.
