DMC-FX7 zoom noise

Greetings all.

I just got a new FX7. As far as picture quality goes it seems to be working fine, however I've noticed that the optical zoom seems much louder than it should. I seem to recall the demo camera in the store's lens being quick and quiet, but then I tried a bunch that day so can't be sure.

Are there any other FX7 owners here that have experienced this? If you own one, can you give me a general sense of how loud your zoom is? I'll be serioulsy bummed out if I got a dud.

I have had mine about 3 months and have never noticed any noise issues. Seems like normal speed for a 3x zoom.
