View Full Version : Bracket mode vs. software correction
What is the benefit in shooting in bracket mode if your pc software does correction for over/under exposure? I use JASC Paint Shop Photo Album and it does an excellent job of correcting exposure (as long as the original is at least close).

:) see, with bracketing, one of the shots is bound to be close....

If it satisfies you then your OK but in all honesty once the highlights are blown they are gone forever.
And although underexposed shots are easier to correct ,what you did not capture because of the underexposure is also lost forever.
Use the histogram and you will be close.
