Olympus C750. i dind't have the effort to buy a EOS XT(after exchaning it twice) so i took the c750 and my favorite rollei on a trip. have a look at these pictures:
they're a shade noisy, but the lovely 380mm lens let my isolate what i needed from the landscape. and imagine the cost of a nice 380mm f3.5 lens!

Nice compressed perspective on the moody misty shots
Actually I do believe it - I know what that lens can do!!
Well done

very nice images. The color casts add a lot of drama, as does the fog.
I wonder what they would look like at fullsize and in print though.
You post these images but none of the horrible 350D images?

i don't have any of the XT images. i sold the cf card too. any way, they're all junk--thousands of shots of graph paper and my table to see how well it didn't perform.

Hmmmm. How strange. So Sigbhu, what exactly was the problem with the XT?

I'm scratching my head too. Could you elaborate on what went wrong? It's highly unlikely that 2 cameras in a row would be defective. I'd either blame the lens or maybe... you didn't just place it on auto and shoot did you?

You did take the body cap off and mount the lens, right?
Otherwise, this could have been the problem.

Great misty pix! I would easily believe they come from an Olympus C-750, because people are constantly surprised that the pix I take come from a little Oly C-60. :)
I love my Olympus & I'm pretty much convinced that you don't need an expensive camera to take great pix no matter what alot of camera 'buffs' say. ;)

WOW, Wonderful photos. I agree with the statement about expensive cameras, but, i think the main difference is the person behind the camera that makes all the difference. :)
