Extended warranty for digital camera

I'm sure this issue has been addressed, but I'm not finding it when searching the archives. I'm getting ready to buy a digital camera for about $500.00 and would like to hear what people think about the third-paty warranty options. Do any of the warranty options cover accidents or other use-related problems? I would think that the company warranty would cover manufacture related problems for the first year or so. Is any particular extended warranty recommended over another?

That really depends on the retailer you're buying it from and the options they give you. Be sure to read the clauses properly if you're buying an extended warranty. Generally, I avoid them coz by the time my camera breaks down, it's probably time for a new one (for me at least).
