Here's what Samsung comes with:
28-420 mm lens (15x zoom  )
3,5" lcd
probably 8 mpixel ccd

Very interesting indeed, it'll give the Panasonic Lumix FZ20 (http://www.basic-digital-photography.com/panasonic-lumix-dmc-fz20-review.html) a run for its money.

I wished that big LCD was swivel & tilt one. It would be nice too if it has a least VGA resolution. Oh yes, I like multi-function toys and a decent movie mode wouldn't bother me also. I love big LCD and if it has a real live preview would be a hit. In 99% cases I would use the big LCD to make my composition. So curious about this 15x zoom image quality!

It would be nice that those 15x lens quality to come close to the 12x leica fz20 has.

That's some serious business going on there!

At first I thought it was an SLR, but it's not. It's a hybrid which means that it has the fixed SLR-like lens like the KM A200 and the Canon Pro1. What I like too is how fast this thing claims to be.

But does it have a optical viewfinder or an EVF, some have suggested it may be a fixed lens SLR... I don't understand the chinese, can anyone confirm this.. If it is true it may be the start of a new trend?

Hopefully it's NOT too good to be true!
Let's look out for it in the reviews - I'd like to see how good that lens really is. Sadly there is usually a downside to such a promising product like this - but it would be a real boost for Samsung if there wasn't!

Even if it disappoints, it may at least be a precursor for better things to come. Maybe that 20x zoom isn't completely ludicrous after all.

At least as important as the lens has been the suggestion that it will use a DSLR sized sensor, not a tiny prosumer version. This should mean much lower noise and better exposure latitude.

Where did it say that?

It doesn't, it uses a 2/3" sensor, that is smaller than my DSLR, but bigger than my previous prosumer camera the FZ20....

Honestly the optical viewfinder, if true, is the biggest draw card, add to it the huge range, manual controls for zoom, focus and exposure and a 3.5" screen and you have a killer prosumer product....

Yes, it's a 2/3" sensor which is somewhere between dslr and consumer-prosumer, but the lens quality has the last word here. I realy don't know if it's an optical viewfinder or evf. Most likely it's evf. However, I hope it's good enough to make big boys in photo market to think for more interesting upgrades in their cameras.

Well certainly has me sitting on the edge of my seat. I don't think this is going to be prosumer money though, I'm guessing with a 3.5" LCD and mechanical zoom lens we are going to be talking megabucks

It's Samsung though, so they just may be able to pull this off and sell for under $1000. In fact, that's my guess - $999. Let's see how far off I am.

They have to be careful with the price, it is already a large camera, and depending on the lens quality they may just price themselves out of the market!

Esp. considering how cheap DSLRs are getting...
