Today was a beautiful autumn day, so we went to the Swan Valley, a grape and wine area just east of Perth. Good food, friends, great wine and a magnificent day - who could ask for more?

This is Woodbridge Estate, an historical home on the banks of the upper Swan River near Guildford. Looking across from Riverbank Estate winery.

Another view, closer, from the other side of the river.

It's almost May, and the weather is sliding deeper into autumn. The grapevines are starting to turn.

Lunch outside, under the vines. Lilac Hill Estate cafe/restaurant. A devil of a place to photograph -- but a lovely spot to eat!

Now for a glass of that wine we bought ...

Lovely photos! I am very jealous! I visited Australia last summer (your winter?) and loved it. I hope to live there one day! thanks for sharing the photos! :)
