Analogy with Life (Macro)

Yesterday I was trying to capture various stages of a matchstick fire & show an analogy with our life. Please let me know your comments - does this theme works ? is it any good ?

You must be a born optimist because you left out DEATH! :D

I like the series...I think it's clever and well excuted...easily could be framed and hung in a row...it would make a nice display...

Yup did that intentionally. I though it was too sad to show a matchstick out & throwing some smoke at the end.... Can try it though :-) I would title it "silence" !

Very much appreciated the "philosophical" approach to the photo set. I also wondered about the spent match shot and perhaps just an unstruck match at the beginning to set the scene? Great idea and shots - off to buy a box of matches ;-)

Well a unstruck match wont show up in pitch dark unless lighted up with external source. This is distracting & not pertinent with the theme IMO.
How do you think .. ?

Oh yes, I need new match boxes for sure :-)

Well I can't match that! But seriously - what a clever idea!
The idea of the unstruck match and the dead match appeals - but I can also see the lighting problem - unless, of course, you introduce another match showing some kind of continuation and thereby providing the same light...
