Motion Pics with DSCW1

I hope this doesn't seem too novice...but I was wondering if you all could help me with taking motion pictures. Anytime I take motion pictures with (or without) a flash, they always turn out blurry. I've seen comparable dig. cameras with sports modes and I was wondering if the DSCW1 has anything like this? I know that I can change the shutter speed, but this just takes too long to switch sometimes. Any help would be appreciated b/c I do not have access to my manual at this time. Thanks.

Although recent posts have suggested differences between different "batches" of W1s, you should be able to take very clear video.

If you haven't already, turn the dial round dial on the top left of your camera to the film icon. Press exposure button half-way, then all the way. Clear video should record.

If this doesn't work, do you have a "Pro" video card? The Pro card is specifically designed for faster video.

I'm sorry that I didn't make myself clear...I was speaking in terms of still photos of action, rather than video. Any suggestions?

I have a W5 but all around must be almost the same thing

U can use M "as Manual" and take picture without the flash , or u can Use "Mode" in the feature and get Burst or Multi Burst , it's like speed photo taken. u can used the snow man for photo without flash and there more way and u won't see the slow image on the LCD and the Processing text..

I had the same problem like u before but now i know mostly all the Fonction and still learning , i dont get Much Blurry Pic 95% of my photo look Great , 5% is my hand shaking "MasterB too much lol ", it's a Great dg-Cam price wise ,great image quality ,fonction and Feature , can't wait too get the 2.6x Lens Ouch. " too much thing to Buy with the W5 Line up of Accesories , Which could be a bad thing $$ but not for me =) "
