Canon A75 Question

I have a Canon A75 digital camera and need a little help. I am going on a cruise ship and would like to take photos in the theater, however no flash photography is allowed. Can anyone help me with settings in this setting. The seating area is dark while the stage is lighted.

Okie, you want to try to maximize the light you're getting, to keep shutter speed up - I suggest go to Av mode, select the largest aperture you have (smallest F number), set exposure compensation to -1 (or further negative, to taste...), set ISO to 200 .. hopefully that'll get you shutter speeds faster than 1/30th second or so. If they're still too slow, try ISO400 - though you'll probably want to run the pictures through some noise-reduction in that case.
