Hi,

I have seen several persons very leaned towards the A series of canon (I mean, almost averybody includes the A-80 within their suggestions). I know they are good cameras but, doesn't worth the effort the S-60? I mean the price difference is not that large, and you get plenty of manual controls, superior quality?, and all the hi-tech canon implements in their way more expensive G series.

I am too wrong? I just want to pick up the best price/quality ratio for a compact digital camera, "pocketable" but with advanced controls, nice and fast (these features are important) lenses.

Best regards

In my experience, the Canon A series digital cameras are much more rugged and durable than the S series digital cameras.

Hi,

IMO A80 or A95 are better choices, price/quality ratios (forget A70 and A85 when comparing with S-series).

- AA batteries
- Swivel LCD
- Better handling
- Additional Canon manufactured lenses to add later
